KAILUA-KONA — Hawaii Island police are looking for four people who may have provided assistance to Justin Waiki while on the run after he shot and killed Officer Bronson Kaliloa on July 17 in Mountain View.
Sought at this time are 31-year-old Joey Ikaka Camacho, of no known address, 47-year-old Shaun Candaroma of Hilo, and 26-year-old Pomaikai Martin and 27-year-old Latoya Poepoe-Spalding, both of Kings Landing in Hilo.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Section are continuing the investigation. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of these individuals should contact Detective William Brown of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at 961-2384 or William.brown@hawaiicounty.gov.
The manhunt for Waiki started at 9:47 p.m. Tuesday after police say he fatally shot Kaliloa beside Highway 11 inMountain View when the officer approached a vehicle during a traffic stop. Waiki, whose last known address was in Las Vegas,was being sought at the time on a no-bail warrant for revocation of his bail conditions.
